Prior to a career in law, Alex worked in marketing and advertising. As an “ad man”, he worked with clients and agencies across Toronto to develop campaigns for global brands, charities, government agencies and Olympic sponsors. The only thing constant was change and no two campaigns were the same. Each was the product of tireless organization, problem-solving and passion. His philosophy as a legal advocate is influenced by his prior career. In both advertising and law, Alex believes that a persuasive narrative is rooted in truth and shaped by circumstances.
Having worked with clients in a variety of business sectors, Alex has practical experience navigating the often complex and messy reality that is the modern employment relationship. Recognizing the value of perspective, Alex assists both employers and employees because it allows him to understand a file from both sides of the table, anticipating the pressure points and bottom lines of opposing parties.
Born and raised in Toronto, Alex has tried to learn more about himself and other cultures through travel. He has studied business in Brazil and law in Hong Kong. With each trip, he has become more convinced of the central and universal decency of people. He views his practice as an opportunity to learn from his clients, understand their problems and help them move forward with confidence.
