A passionate advocate, Tina Lee advises both employers and employees on all workplace issues, including terminations and dismissals, disciplinary matters, drafting and enforcing restrictive covenants, human rights disputes, and employee privacy issues. Tina’s approach is purposeful, practical, and client-centered, with the view of preserving and protecting clients’ entitlements.
Drawing from her representation of both employers and employees, Tina is skilled in strategizing based on what “the other side” would do. For employers, she also develops workplace policies and processes and provides advice to proactively prevent disputes from arising in the first place.
Tina brings unique insight from her prior practice in both Eastern and Western Canada. She advises on Ontario, Alberta, and federal employment law, and has represented clients in most Canadian jurisdictions. She has appeared before the Ontario Appeal Court and Superior Court of Justice, as well as the Alberta Court of Queen’s Bench.
Fluent in written and verbal Mandarin Chinese, Tina advises Mandarin-speaking clients on their employment and workplace issues, including facilitating their integration and compliance with Canadian employment and workplace laws.
Tina has had extensive community involvement, including most recently sitting on the Board for Pacekids Society, an organization for children with disabilities and special needs.
When she is not practicing law or contributing to the community, Tina is an avid runner and is a proud mother of two young children. Her children have inspired her to continuously push her own boundaries and limits, and tackle challenges with creativity. Together, Tina and her family spend most of their time exploring the outdoors, as well as within the City for good cuisines.
