Client-centered. Grounded. Creative.
At Singh Lamarche, Heidi delivers innovative and customized solutions for both employees and employers, ensuring the complex and nuanced is synthesized and extracted. She provides advice on all issues that arise in employment relationships—from contemplation, to cessation and everything between—and conducts workplace investigations and training for all types of organizations.
Heidi has a broad and comprehensive range of experience, having appeared and/or prepared for appearances before the Superior Court of Justice (including the Commercial List), Small Claims Court, Ontario Labour Relations Board, the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, as well as the Court of Appeal for Ontario. Specifically, she has worked on a variety of employment litigation matters, including wrongful dismissal, constructive dismissal, and human rights claims. She also has experience in commercial litigation, including breach of contract matters, shareholders’ rights, creditors’ rights, and construction litigation.
Being an advocate on a client’s behalf is what Heidi loves most about practicing law. Through collaborating with her clients, empathy and a deep understanding of both client motivations and desired outcomes, Heidi helps clients through their complex legal issues. Heidi’s commitment to providing exceptional strategic advice and outcomes, along with her personable demeanour are what clients appreciate most.
When this proud Eastcoaster isn’t practicing law, you can find Heidi tasting her way through Toronto restaurants—eating well is living well—or playing a role in the annual Lawyer Show, most recently in Mamma Mia! Taking to the stage allows her to exercise her creative and artistic side, something she’s passionate about both on and off the stage.
